Pope Leo XIV's Visit:
The Pope's visit to Annaba took place on Thursday, April 20, 2025. The President of the Algerian Republic welcomed Pope Leo XIV. The Pope traveled to Annaba (ancient Hippo Regius), the birthplace of Saint Augustine. He visited the archaeological site and presided over Mass at the Basilica of Saint Augustine.
